Brick Orientation
The way a brick is laid makes a significant difference in the way it supports a structure, stands up to wear-and-tear, and appeals to aesthetics. There are six basic brick orientations for a standard rectangular brick.
TERM = Sailor
DEFINITION = A brick laid vertically with the broad face exposed.
TERM = Stretcher
TERM = Header
TERM = Soldier
TERM = Rowlock
